Meet Doctor Wright:
Doctor Chad Wright attended college at BYU in Utah, followed by Dental School at UCLA. Dr. Wright graduated Summa Cum Laude, with higher cumulative grades than any previous UCLA dental student. He was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Dentistry's National Honor Society.
After Dental School, Doctor Wright completed a one-year residency in clinical and hospital-based dentistry at the VA hospital in the San Fernando Valley. He also spent a year practicing General Dentistry, an experience which has given him a unique perspective on the relationship between Dentistry as a whole, and Orthodontics. Afterwards, he traveled to Indiana, where he completed a two year residency in orthodontics, receiving his Specialty Certificate as well as his Masters of Science in Dentistry Degree in Orthodontics from Indiana University.
After graduating from IU, Doctor Wright came to Camarillo and opened his first orthodontic practice in 2001. He then opened his Santa Barbara Practice in 2004. From 2006 through 2011, his office has been awarded the Reader's Choice Award for Best Orthodontist in Santa Barbara County by the Santa Barbara News Press. In 2012, Dr. Wright opened his Buellton Practice.
Doctor Chad Wright was certified to treat cases with INVISALIGN in 2000, and has treated over 700 Invisalign patients, in addition to more than 6000 patients with traditional and ceramic braces. An experienced lecturer and speaker, Dr. Wright has taught at numerous venues including the Annual Orthodontic Convention in Chicago, at the Oxnard College Dental Hygiene School, The Santa Barbara Dental Hygiene Society, several private dental offices, Clinicas of Oxnard, and multiple continuing education seminars in the past several years. Dr. Wright has also been one of Invisalign's Clinical Instructors.
Doctor Chad Wright is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and is one of our area's few Board Certified Orthodontists. He uses the latest technological advancements that make braces less noticeable, improve patient comfort, and reduce appointment length and total treatment time. As a certified Invisalign provider, he has proudly earned the reputation of being one of the top Invisalign providers in California. Dr. Wright enjoys being an active member of the community by supporting both educational and athletic activities whenever he can.
Doctor Chad Wright and his wife, Laura, were married in 1992, and are the proud parents of two beautiful girls, Megan and Sophie, and two great boys, Adam and Sam. When he is not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Wright enjoys singing with his Old-School Rock-n-Roll band SOUND MINDS, writing, woodworking, road biking, boating, and spending time with his family.
